Merve Ucar's Award-Winning Fall/Winter Collection Reflects the Modern Women of Dolmabahce Palace

The unique properties of the Synthesis collection lie in its color palette, inspired by palace colors, and its use of baroque patterns, specially designed fringes, jacquard, and metallic leather. These elements come together to create a powerful, elegant, and eye-catching image that reflects the modern women of the Dolmabahce Palace.

The collection was realized using texture and rag techniques, folding and overlapping details with double-faced fabrics. These techniques, combined with the shimmering effect of gold leather, give the Synthesis collection its unique aesthetic. The collection includes 27 items, all of which carry symbols of the past and forms of the future.

Despite the challenges faced during production, including finding the right traditional producer for the specially designed fabrics and a knitwear supplier with the appropriate colors, Ucar managed to produce the entire collection in under a month. Her dedication and commitment to her craft are evident in the quality and design of each piece in the collection.

The Synthesis collection was presented at the Excelcior Hotel Gallia in Milan during the Republic Day of Turkey in 2016, organized by the Turkish Consulate of Milan.
